The North Branch of Kokosing Lake has lake front camping. A small, quiet (154 acre) fishing lake has a 10 horse power limit. It is leased to Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD).

The Federal Golden Age and Golden Access Passports are no longer accepted, however, Golden Buckeye card holders and people who are 60 years or older and have proof of age recieve a 10% discount. For more information, call MWCD at 740-685-6013 or visit their web site.

Directions

Kokosing Lake is about 15 minutes north of Mount Vernon and just west of Fredericktown, Ohio. From Fredericktown, access to the dam is via State Route 13 north to Waterford Road. The dam is located on the right about two miles from the Waterford Rd. Rt.13 Jct. Kokosing Campground and Picnic Areas are also on the right just off Waterford Road about 1/2 mile farther.
