Beach City Dam is located near the northern border of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, on Sugar Creek, a tributary of the Tuscarawas River, about nine miles above New Philadelphia, Ohio. The dam was completed in 1936 for flood control and water conservation in the Muskingum Watershed area.The Wilmont Wilderness Center is located 3 miles west of the dam.

Directions

From Dover, Ohio take I-77 north to the Strasburg, Ohio exit. At the exit turn left. This road turns into State Route 21 going north. On State Route 21, turn left onto State Rt. 250 West. Approximately one mile from the intersection of State Route 250 and State Route 21 is the entrance to the project.
